Bikes for Kids Wisconsin will host two virtual informational sessions for nonprofit organizations and public schools in Wisconsin serving financially challenged individuals.
Bikes for Kids Wisconsin provides bikes to people of all ages, recognizing bicycles as tools for economic empowerment and transportation.
Organizations interested in becoming bike distribution partners for spring 2026 are encouraged to attend the sessions, which will take place via Zoom on Aug. 14 at 1 p.m. and Sept. 16 at noon. Click here to register.
Organizations may apply for one bike or up to 100, depending on their needs. The application window for bicycles runs from Oct. 15-Dec. 15, 2025, with bike distribution occurring in spring 2026.
Bicycles can be received in one of three ways:
-
At an in-person bike giveaway event in April;
-
Through a bulk pickup arranged by the organization between March and May; or
-
Via a voucher program that runs throughout spring and summer.

Distributing 2,000 bikes annually costs approximately $270,000, covering professional mechanic wages, tools, parts and operational expenses for the nonprofit’s 12,000-square-foot bike center. Organizations pay $25 per bike, with the remaining 85% subsidized by Bikes for Kids Wisconsin.
