Erik’s Bikes, a Minnesota-based outdoor recreation retailer with three shops in the Madison area, is considering the current site of Schlotzsky’s Deli on East Washington Avenue for a new store. According to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal, the company would like to construct an 8,557-square-foot, single-story, multitenant building on the .62-acre site, which is now mostly surface parking.
If the project moves forward, Erik’s would close a current East Towne location on Thierer Road after the new building is completed.
