In what is expected to be the last extension, the Biden administration has extended the nationwide ban on tenant evictions for a month, according to an article by the Associated Press. The moratorium, established in 2020 to help tenants who are unable to make rent payments during COVID-19 pandemic, has been extended from June 30 to July 31. Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, announced the extension Thursday, noting that “this is intended to be the final extension of the moratorium.”
