Madison’s Central Business Improvement District (BID) has launched Shine On Madison, a special night market focused on the State Street area, according to a WMTV-NBC 15 report. Area property owners, businesses, community organizations, and nonprofits held a special light ceremony to kick off the event at the top of State Street on Saturday. Shine On Madison is a six-week community event, started in 2017 to increase visibility and traffic to businesses downtown. This year the event is from Nov. 19—Jan. 9.
