Sunset Yarns is closing after five years of business, and Barrett’s Bagels, the popular Monroe Street Farmers’ Market bagel stand that began in 2023, will move into its location, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
Barrett’s Bagels is buying the building at 3742 Speedway Road and opening a bagel shop in the fall.
“Unbelievably excited, nervous and optimistic about what’s ahead,” Barrett’s Bagels said on social media.
Before it was a yarn store, the location was Fit 2 Eat, a deli and catering business. While most of the kitchen equipment was donated when the yarn business moved in, there are still four 8-foot-long European ovens at the site that could potentially be used.
