Mark Barnes, owner of Barnes, Inc., a local landscape and construction service company, announced the formation of Barnes Green Energy, LLC, a wholly-owned, vertically integrated compressed natural gas (CNG) conversion and consulting business. Barnes is currently converting many of the company’s 145 vehicles to CNG, and the new business was established to help other businesses do the same. Thus far, Barnes Green Energy staff has been trained and approved to perform conversions on General Motors, Chrysler, and Ford vehicles.
Recently, Barnes started Barnes Power Equipment, a commercial lawn equipment company that sells mowers that run on propane.
