A poll from the Wisconsin Bankers Association shows banking executives bullish on the economy through 2020. Nearly 80 percent of Wisconsin bankers say the economy is good and will continue on this track through 2020.

Only about 5 percent of bankers responding believe the economy will take a downturn. Of the state bank CEOs and presidents responding, 79 percent say the economy is good, 16 percent say it’s excellent, and in a follow-up question, 23 percent believe the economy will continue to improve.

“Bankers are the best barometers of the economy as they see all segments of every marketplace,” noted WBA President and CEO Rose Oswald Poels in a release. “They work together with their communities and are the first to see and understand Wisconsin’s economic trends due to their customers’ activities. In turn, our members use that information to help their communities prosper.”
