Citing a return to normal buying patters by municipal governments, Badger Meter, a Brown Deer-based maker of water meters, nearly doubled its net income during the first quarter of 2012, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The company said net income rose by 92%, to $6.25 million from $3.26 million in the same quarter in 2011, while earnings per share increased from 22 cents to 42 cents.
Quarterly sales rose by 33%, to $76.2 million from $57.4 million, the report said.
