The UW–Madison football team will play a regular season game in another country for the first time in decades, according to NBC15. The Badgers will play the team’s 2027 road game against the Pittsburgh Panthers at the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland.

The game against Pittsburgh was already built into the Badgers’ schedule as one of two with the ACC team, who will come to Madison in 2026 for a home game at Camp Randall.

The Badgers have not played overseas in 30 years; in 1993, the team traveled to Tokyo to play against Michigan State in the Coca-Cola Bowl and won the game to advance to their first Rose Bowl in 31 years.
