ByHeart announced Tuesday it has recalled all of its infant formula products nationwide following investigations of infant botulism, according to a CNN report.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are investigating a multistate outbreak of infant botulism. The outbreak may be tied to ByHeart’s “whole nutrition” infant formula products.
Reports of suspected or confirmed botulism have been reported in 15 children in 12 states: Arizona, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Washington.
The FDA said all ByHeart formula products should be discarded.
