Wilde East Towne Honda, in partnership with Dane County School Consortium, will host a Girl’s Auto Clinic encouraging high school young women to defy gender stereotypes in the automotive industry, according to a report from Wisbusiness.com. The seven-week clinic will begin on April 8, from 5 to 7 p.m., and will run every Thursday through the end of May.
The program is open to female sophomores or juniors interested in getting hands-on experience. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, there will be more than 37,000 job openings per year in the auto industry by 2024.
