Green Bay-based Associated Bank plans to close or consolidate 14 branches in Wisconsin in response to an increasing number of customers moving to digital banking, according to a statement from the company.
The company is calling the process a “rebalancing” of the branch network and will aim to eliminate overlapping locations. The three locations in Madison affected are 1574 W. Broadway, 8040 Excelsior Drive, and 640 University Ave. As part of the consolidation process, Associated plans to open a new branch on Mineral Point Road.
