According to WisBusiness, the Assembly has approved a number of bills that address the state’s housing shortage.

One of the bills would stop people and groups from impeding local development projects. AB 266 would require the approval of residential housing projects by local governments if the application is complete and the development meets existing requirements.

In addition, with a few exceptions, only a simple majority vote by a local government would be needed to approve a development.
