Renovations are progressing at Verona nonprofit Art House 360, set to open in 2025, according to The Verona Press. The arts organization is located in a vacant historic schoolhouse, the former New Century Charter School, along West Verona Avenue.

Art House 360 will create a multicultural, multigenerational, and multidisciplinary center for artistic expression, well-being, and community connection. It will offer events and programs for the public and allocate space for artists, art education businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

The renovations will preserve the building’s brick exterior and restore its wooden floors. Multiple murals are underway on the facility’s interior and exterior. The changes also incorporate universal design, adding an elevator for second-floor access, bathrooms inclusive of all genders and abilities, and sidewalks to connect the front and park entryway.

Renovations are on-track for completion this winter. The organization is still raising funds toward its $3 million capital campaign and programming goal. Donations and grants have topped $1.6 million. In addition, Art House 360 is seeking volunteers, board members, partners, and artists interested in renting or subletting coworking or other space in the building.
