W.D. Hoard & Sons in Fort Atkinson announced the sale of Hometown News, publisher of 13 southern Wisconsin daily or weekly community newspapers, to Adams Publishing Group of Minnesota.
Stephen Adams, principal of Adams Publishing, is also the founder of Adams Outdoor Advertising, according to a Wisconsin State Journalstory.
Locally, Hometown News publishes the Sun Prairie Star, Milton Courier, Cambridge News-Deerfield Independent, Lake Mills Leader; Herald-Independent-McFarland Thistle, Waterloo-Marshall Courier, Waunakee Tribune, DeForest Times-Tribune, and Lodi Enterprise-Poynette Press.
