After 25 years, Deb Archer, president and CEO of Destination Madison, will be leaving the organization at the end of the year, according to a release from the organization.
Highlights from her career leading Destination Madison include recognition as Wisconsin’s Most Helpful Convention and Visitors Bureau, acquisition of long-term contracts to bring Ironman and CrossFit to Madison, helping to lead the work to keep WIAA boys basketball in Madison, the staging of the highly successful Bucky on Parade, and hosting events including the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
The board of Destination Madison will follow a previously adopted CEO succession plan and has retained SearchWide Global, an executive search firm, to conduct a national search in the travel, tourism, hospitality, and related industries.
