Resonance Consultancy Ltd. has ranked Madison the eighth best small city in America.
In its report, “America’s Best Cities: A ranking of U.S. Place Equity,” Resonance ranked the country’s top 50 large and small cities. According to a release, the small cities report compares locations with populations between 200,000 and 1 million.
Madison earned the No. 8 position by ranking high in the People, Programming, and Prosperity categories. It also earned high marks for its culture scene (#10), culinary scene (#12), and nightlife (#14).
New York City won the top spot in the Large City (population over 1 million) ranking, while Honolulu placed first when comparing small cities.
