The Anesis Multicultural Mental Health Conference, founded in 2024 by Anesis Therapy, will return for its second year on Aug. 21-22, according to Madison365. The event will be held at downtown Madison’s Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.

The conference is designed to provide centralized training and support for mental health professionals.

The two-day event will feature three keynote speakers, including Shan Boodram, a certified sex educator and sexologist with an MS in psychology; Prentis Hemphill, a therapist, somatics teacher and facilitator, political organizer, writer and co-founder of The Embodiment Institute; and Dr. Raquel Martin, a licensed clinical psychologist and leader in Black mental health and liberation psychology.

The conference will also include a variety of breakout rooms with professionals from across the U.S., as well as a free networking event separate from the conference and open to the public.
