Lucianne M. Walkowicz filed a lawsuit against Middleton-based American Girl and its parent company, Mattel, to stop selling the 2018 doll, Luciana Vega, claiming the company stole her likeness and adapted her name, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
Walkowicz is a TED senior fellow at the Adler Planetarium and has worked with NASA’s Kepler mission on the constellation of Lyra, which includes Vega as its brightest star.
