The doll, book, and accessories company is owned by Mattel and reportedly was the only Mattel division to record a revenue loss in the fourth quarter of 2015.
Year over year, quarterly sales fell 14% when adjusted for foreign exchange. For all of 2015, American Girl saw a 7% drop in sales compared to 2014 sales, adjusted for foreign exchange.
The company has 444 employees at its Middleton headquarters and over 2,300 worldwide.
