American Girl has eliminated 18 jobs around the state, including 15 at its Middleton headquarters, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal. The cuts followed a poor 2014 performance from American Girl’s parent company, Mattel, which reported a 7% decline in sales in 2014. Blame Barbie, whose sales dropped by 16% last year.
