The land of the cheese curd will host the American Cheese Society’s 2027 annual conference.
The announcement calls Madison “one of the organization’s most historically significant host cities.” Madison last hosted the conference in 2013.
“Returning to Madison feels both celebratory and intentional,” Tara Holmes, executive director of the American Cheese Society, said in a statement. “Wisconsin is synonymous with American cheese, and Madison’s blend of tradition, innovation and community mirrors the spirit of ACS. We’re excited to bring our members back to a city that understands craft, champions makers and welcomes meaningful dialogue about the future of cheese.”
The annual conference is the organization’s flagship event, bringing cheesemakers, retailers, distributors, educators and industry leaders together from across the country.
“We are delighted to welcome the American Cheese Society back to Madison for the first time since its 30th anniversary conference in 2013,” Ellie Westman Chin, president and CEO of Destination Madison, said in a statement.
“Madison’s deep connection to cheese, which is rooted in craft, innovation and community pride, aligns perfectly with ACS’s mission. We look forward to delivering an exceptional, memorable experience for the organization and their attendees.”
The conference will take place July 27-30, 2027.
