Volunteers from Alliant Energy will help frame an entire Habitat for Humanity home on Thursday, Feb. 22, according to a recent press release. Starting at 9 a.m., Alliant Energy’s warehouse in Windsor will transform into a Habitat for Humanity of Dane County construction site.

Alliant Energy volunteers will build all interior and exterior walls for the Habitat home, which will eventually be located at 529 Kay Court in Oregon. This home will be a part of a 1.3-acre development that will serve eight families in the Oregon community.

Last year, the Alliant Energy Foundation invested nearly $1.2 million in hunger and housing initiatives.

Since 1987, Habitat for Humanity of Dane County has been building in partnership with low-to-moderate-income families in 18 different communities throughout Dane County. Currently, Habitat is building in Madison, Sun Prairie, Stoughton, and Oregon.
