The Public Service Commission has unanimously authorized Alliant Energy’s purchase of six solar farms for $925 million, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The combined capacity of all of the farms is 675 megawatts, enough to power about 175,000 typical Wisconsin homes, and is the largest single renewable energy investment to date in Wisconsin.
