Alliant Energy Center Executive Director Adam Heffron is taking a new job as director of the Ohio Expo Center and State Fair, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. The announcement was made by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine in a statement Friday.
Heffron has held the position at Alliant Energy Center since August 2022. Previously, he had been director of facilities and operations at Summerfest and director of event services for the Wisconsin State Fair. His history also includes work with the Washington State Fair, Greater Minneapolis Convention & Visitors Association, the Minnesota State Fair, and the Ohio Expo Center and State Fair.
The members of the Ohio Expositions Commission must confirm Heffron’s appointment; the group has scheduled a special meeting today to conduct the vote. Heffron would commence his new duties in March.
