Alliant announces excavator safety program

Alliant Energy announced the forthcoming Diggers Hotline 2022 Excavator Safety Awareness Program and encourages contractors, excavators, builders, landscapers, and municipal and utility workers to attend, according to a statement from the company. The program runs annually from January through March with a series of safety meetings throughout the state to promote safe digging practices and emphasize the importance of calling 811 before you dig. There is no fee to attend, but registration is required. Ten in-person sessions will be held around the state beginning on Feb. 2, with virtual meetings being held on Jan. 25, Feb. 23, and March 24.
