The Aldo Leopold Nature Center Open House on Sunday, July 21, will celebrate 30 years of children’s environmental education. The free, family-friendly event, taking place from 11 a.m.–3 p.m., will feature adventure, music, food trucks, games, hands-on activities, raffles, and more.
Specific activities will include fort building, pond dipping, bingo games, a plant identification hike, and nature mandala- and phenology journal-making. Food offerings will include PaPa’s BBQ, Jakarta Cafe, The Walking Jerk, REAP Food Groups Uproot’d, and a taco truck.
