The Dane County Regional Airport is applying for up to $15 million in grants to be used for airport functions affected by the COVID-19 health crisis, but none of the funds will be funneled to the airlines that rent space at the airport, according to an NBC15 report.
The funds will be used for day-to-day operations such as extra cleaning supplies and PPE gear. There has been a 95 percent decrease in air travel due to the current pandemic situation.
