Agard announces 3 finalists for Dane County human services director

In a press release, Dane County Executive Melissa Agard announced three finalists for the director of the Dane County Department of Human Services. This role oversees the largest department in the county, and the selected individual will play a critical role in shaping services for the community.

The finalists are:

  • Astra Iheukumere, interim director, Dane County Department of Human Services;

  • Amy Everett, chief operating officer and executive vice president of operations, Mind Springs Health and West Springs Hospital, Grand Junction, Colorado; and

  • Robert B. Williams, director of operations, Hobson & McReynolds.

As part of the selection process, the county will host a community town hall at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, so residents can meet the finalists, hear their visions, and offer feedback. The town hall will take place at the City-County Building, Room 354, 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Madison.

The town hall will feature a moderated Q&A session with each candidate. Community members are encouraged to submit questions in advance by visiting danecounty.gov/humanservices. Questions must be submitted by Friday, Jan. 3. Brief biographies of the finalists are also available on the website.
