Officials from Badgerland Financial, AgStar Financial Services Inc. of Minnesota, and 1st Farm Credit Services of Illinois are recommending a merger, according to the Wisconsin State Journal, with the proposed group’s headquarters located in Sun Prairie and led by Rod Hebrink, president/CEO for AgStar.
The financial associations serve a total of 144 counties across the three states.
If the merger gains approvals from AgriBank and the Farm Credit Administration the stockholders of the three associations could vote on the matter in early 2017.
