A four-year lawsuit brought against Promega Corp. and founder Bill Linton by several shareholders has been dismissed following a settlement, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.

The suit alleged Linton blocked returns on the shareholders’ investments until 2078, and the settlement involved a third party buying the shareholders’ stock in order for the case to be dismissed. The proceeds from the stock sale are undisclosed.
