After refusing to remove their names from a letter listing concerns and demands, nearly all of the sewing and printing workers at Madison screen-printing company Crushin’ It Apparel have been laid off, according to a Capital Timesreport. The nine workers who were dismissed took to picketing the business located at 5241 Voges Road, and owner Jeremy Kruk says the demands for timely pay and better working conditions are “extortion.” Workers have expressed concerns over late paychecks, extreme heat in the building, and other safety concerns.
