Nonprofit Wisconsin Housing Preservation Corp. is hoping to build a $67.8 million affordable housing project at the downtown location that formerly housed Madison College’s downtown campus, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The 12-story, workforce housing project on the vacant portion of the property at 200 Wisconsin Ave. would include 200 apartments, including 150 units for those making between 50% and 80% of the Dane County-area median income, commercial space, and 262 underground parking spaces. Madison College closed the downtown campus in 2019.
