The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported more than 550,000 initial COVID-19 shots have been given out to health care workers and other Americans, according to a Madison.com report.

The next to receive the vaccine include people 75 and older and essential workers like firefighters, teachers, and grocery store workers, a federal advisory panel decided on a 13–1 vote earlier this week. The second approved vaccine by Moderna shipped this week from the McKesson distribution center in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
