Accountant steals $700k from client business

Between 2015 and 2016, 31-year-old McFarland accountant Sarah R. May allegedly stole nearly $700,000 from a Monroe-based client, writing unauthorized checks to herself and her accounting firm, Precision Accounting.

She has been charged with 23 counts of theft in a business setting and 12 counts of forgery, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
