Abercrombie & Fitch faces mixed Q1 as shares increase 12%

Abercrombie & Fitch has had a mixed start to 2026.  

Its shares rose about 12% on Wednesday, but sales were down 10% in its Europe, Middle East and Africa markets in the first quarter of 2026. These markets make up about 15% of the company’s total sales. 

According to the company, and reported by CNBC, the Iran war has affected sales, but it anticipates net sales will rise 3% to 5% for the fiscal year. 

Compared to the same quarter last year, sales were down at $67.13 million, compared to $80.41 million.
