Atwood Avenue’s A Room of One’s Own bookstore opened an event space next door, The Capital Times reports. The new spot, The Reading Room, at 2713 Atwood Ave. will accommodate author talks and community events.
The Reading Room is located on the first floor of a five-unit office building owned by video production company StoryBridge Studio, housed on the third floor. The lower suite was most recently a chiropractor’s office.
The bookstore rented the space in summer and started to hold events there but waited until late November to announce the addition. The event space will ultimately become the primary venue for the bookstore’s readings and talks.
