The city of Madison will host five public meetings focused on budget priorities for 2026, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Residents will have an opportunity to voice ideas and concerns regarding Madison’s future.
Each of the five meetings will center on a key area of service. Dave Schmiedicke, the city’s finance director, will present the latest budget information to attendees at each meeting. The meeting schedule is as follows:

June 4 — focus on public works, Madison Public Library, 201 W. Mifflin St., 6-8 p.m.;

June 11 — focus on city administration and facilities, Warner Park Community Recreation Center, 1625 Northport Drive, 6-8 p.m.;
