A new Ancora coffee shop and bakery opened this morning at 3926 Monona Drive in a newly constructed building at a spot formerly occupied by Java Cat, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. The location is Ancora’s fourth, joining others in downtown Madison, Maple Bluff, and Shorewood Hills.
The new 2,000-square-foot Ancora features a drive-thru — a first for the company — offering Ancora’s full drink menu and a limited food menu, including most of its bakery items. Other items will be available inside the establishment or through online ordering that can be picked up via the drive-thru.
The cafe has a 38-person seating capacity and will add another 24 outdoor seats during warmer months.
