The Wisconsin Technology Council reports that investments in early-stage companies in the state totaled $450 million last year, an increase of 50% from 2018.

Although this record trend may change with the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic, the growth comes from an increase in investment dollars in the size of the funding rounds from companies rather than the number of companies that reported investments.

Investors number 123 in 2019, just two more than in 2018.
