2nd Market Capital Economic Opportunity Foundation (2MC Foundation), the community outreach arm of 2nd Market Capital Advisory Corp., a registered investment advisor located in Madison, announced the approval of $65,000 in matching grants to Madison-area nonprofits working to improve the lives of young people in the community.
Simpson Street Free Press will receive a matching grant in support of its mission to deliver academic instruction in after-school settings and spread a positive message of youth achievement, academic success and community service. 2MC Foundation will match donations to the Simpson Street Free Press up to $30,000 through Dec. 15.
Operation Fresh Start will receive a matching grant to bolster its mission to empower emerging adults on a path to self-sufficiency through education, mentoring and employment training. Donations made to Operation Fresh Start will be matched up to $25,000 during the period July 23-Sept. 30.
A $10,000 matching grant to Literacy Network will support its mission to help adults in Dane County build skills, reach goals and connect communities. Donations made to help Literacy Network increase its capacity to serve new applicants will be matched up to $10,000 through Dec. 15.
