2MC Foundation announces $75,000 in support of Madison-area organizations

2MC Foundation approved $75,000 in matching grants to Madison-area nonprofits committed to improving the lives of young people in the Madison community.

“We believe the best way to enable all children to succeed in school, careers and life is to provide access to educational and economic opportunities,” the organization said in a statement.  

The 2026 partners include Simpson Street Free Press, receiving a $30,000 matching grant to deliver academic instruction in after-school settings.  

Operation Fresh Start will use a $25,000 matching grant to help young adults with self-sufficiency through education, mentoring and employment training.

The Literacy Network received a $10,000 matching grant to support its mission to assist adults in Dane County in building skills, reaching goals and connecting communities.  

And the Madison Reading Project will use its $10,000 matching grant to provide free books and literacy resources. 

Grants will be matched through Dec. 15 for all programs except for Operation Fresh Start, which will match donations from June 1 through Sept. 30.
