Wisconsin exports fell by nearly $700 million last year, the Biz Times reports.

According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, statewide companies exported $27.1 billion in goods over the course of 2025, down $687.6 million or around 2.5% for the year.

The export total marked the second straight year of decline and Wisconsin’s lowest total since 2021.

Exports had started 2025 with year-over-year gains in January and March, resulting in a 2.1% first-quarter increase, but starting in April, they declined year-over-year for six straight months, leading to a 7.2% second-quarter decrease and 3.4% third-quarter drop. Exports were down 1% in the fourth quarter of 2025.
