The Midwest Climate Collaborative (MCC) announced that the 2025 Midwest Climate Summit will be taking place in Madison at the Memorial Union from April 30-May 2. This event will bring together researchers, practitioners in the private and public sectors, students, educators and advocates to discuss actionable solutions to address climate change in the Midwest. The event is designed to expand knowledge, accelerate climate action and catalyze new partnerships.

Former Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, the founder and president of Forward Together Wisconsin, will open the event on Wednesday as the summit’s keynote speaker. He and others helped launch the MCC in January 2022. The summit will consist of 20 on-site workshops, six mobile workshops and two networking receptions.

In-person registration closed in March, but virtual registration is still open.
