In its 18th year, IB’s 2009 Executive Register remains Dane County’s most comprehensive networking guide to local executives. With 565 names, this year’s list also is our most exclusive (versus inclusive), as the sheer number of applicants forced us to become even more selective.
You will find Chairs, CEOs, Presidents, Publishers, Chancellor, Director of the UW Office of Corporate Relations, and only top officials for state, county, and city governments. Nonprofit leadership is also included.
For this specific listing, we removed our usual VPs, EVPs, CIOs, and COOs (unless they were the top manager at the location). Chamber of Commerce directors are not listed (you’ll find them in our “Organizations” directory online.) Only the managing principals or partners were included of law firms, CPA firms, etc. Consultants are no longer included unless they clearly employ other people (not as contracted professionals, but as employees).
Those making the list this year were judged on a specific set of criteria, including but not limited to executive title, active involvement in staff management and budgets, and also board activity.
