Two separate Gus’s Diner locations sustained damage after cars crashed into each nine days apart, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. The first location, in Verona, was hit March 12 and the second, in Sun Prairie, on March 21.
According to owner Gus Selimi, the drivers responsible for the crashes were, respectively, a lawyer who was arrested for third-offense drunken driving and a man in his early 90s who accidentally accelerated when he meant to brake.
While no one was seriously injured, both crashes pushed in a wall, and the first crash also broke two windows and destroyed three tables. Selimi said he and his son, Tim Selimi, who owns the restaurants with him, were not at either restaurant location during the crashes.
The insurance of those who caused the crashes will reportedly cover the repairs.
