Several restaurants, cafes, and bars are moving or opening soon in the Madison area, according to The Capital Times. Among these are:
- Ahan at 744 Williamson St.: The southeast Asian spot in The Bur Oak east side music venue is moving to the former Eldorado Grill location in the historic Madison Candy Co. building by October.
- Artemis Provisions & Cheese and Taste by Artemis at 213 and 215 E. Main St.: The former will expand to a retail shop in a former dentist office and soda-and-popcorn shop in Mount Horeb by the end of September, and the latter will open a restaurant later on.
- Butterbird at 1134 Regent St.: The chicken-centric spot from the team behind The Harvey House will open this fall.
- Camp Cantina at 1503 Monroe St.: The new Mexican restaurant is coming Aug. 22 to the first floor of the former Hotel RED near Camp Randall.
- Comfort Fuel at 439 N. Francis St.: The breakfast and lunch spot from a co-founder of Forage Kitchen and Roast Public house will open near the end of September or early October in the former Salads UP location.
- Draper Brothers Chop House at 101 N. Hamilton St.: The Italian-style boutique steakhouse from a former partner in Rare Steakhouse, The Ivory Room, and Buck & Badger, is set to open by Labor Day on the Capitol Square.
- Fabiola’s Spaghetti House & Deli on 1301 Regent St.: This Italian-American spot will open later this fall next to Leopold’s Books Bar Caffe by the same owner.
- Les Delices de Awa: The West African catering business will find a brick-and-mortar home this January in the Kennedy Place Apartments space formerly occupied by Monsoon Siam. It will also be featured at Africa Fest and Taste of Madison.
- Lola’s Hi/Lo Lounge at 617 N. Sherman Ave.: The 60s-inspired lounge will soon open on Madison’s north side and feature global pub food and music.
- My Sister’s Kitchen on Parmenter Street in Middleton: The restaurant is closing Aug. 20 to move a few blocks away, with the new location to be confirmed by the end of the month and a reopening by the beginning of the year.
- Primal ‘Cue at 836 Grove St.: The mobile barbecue catering operation will open a brick-and-mortar spot in Sun Prairie on Aug. 31.
- Rue Bourre at 4692 Cottage Grove Road: The Cajun/Creole pop-up will open a brick and mortar location by the end of August, with a grand opening at the end of September.
- Sake at 6654 Mineral Point Road: The former Ginza Japanese Restaurant that recently closed will soon reopen as an all-you-can-eat buffet including sushi.
- Silk Road at 1920 S. Park St.: The central Asian spot will open by the end of August in the former Madtown Chicken N’ Fish location.
- Todofresco at 114 E. Main St.: The casual grab-and-go cafe from the team behind downtown pizzeria Lucille will open in the Tenney building around mid-September.
- Turkish Kitchen at 2616 Monroe St.: The restaurant recently moved from South Gammon Road to the former Tin Fox location.
