A new state grant program available through the recently created Wisconsin Office of Violence Prevention will distribute $10 million for violence prevention across the state, according to Wisconsin Public Radio.
The program is designed to support the work of local governments, school districts, law enforcement agencies and domestic violence groups. The work is funded by $10 million in federal funds directed by Gov. Tony Evers toward the program earlier this year.
Prospective recipients can apply for the grants across five categories:

Suicide prevention and firearm storage grants;
Advertisement -
Evidence-based violence intervention and outreach programs;

Criminal justice-based initiatives;

Domestic violence prevention initiatives; and

School-based programming.
