The “Moving Forward Act” to rebuild the country’s deteriorating infrastructure has passed the Democratic-controlled U.S. House.
According to an Associated Press report, the plan includes funding to improve roads, bridges, transit systems, interstate railways, ports, harbors, and channels. Additionally, $100 billion in funding has been earmarked for internet access expansion in rural and low-income communities and $25 billion is planned to modernize the U.S. Postal Service’s infrastructure and operations, including a fleet of electric vehicles.
The plan next heads to the U.S Senate.
