After three years, Young Blood Beer’s Northstreet taproom is closing so the company can focus on its other locations.

The company released a statement Monday, emphasizing that the closing isn’t a goodbye, it’s simply a change in where it’s putting its energy.

“We’re excited to focus on our King Street taproom and our new home in DeForest while we continue brewing, cooking, and doing all the weird beer stuff we’ve always done,” the statement said.

The Northstreet taproom, 557 North St. in Madison, will remain open through Oct. 31.

“Northstreet has been a pretty special chapter for us,” the statement said. “We’ve shared countless beers, meals, events, and questionable decisions with all of you.

“We’ve also had the absolute pleasure of sharing the space with our friends at @bloombakeshop and @cafedomestiquemadison, and we’re going to miss having them as our neighbors and partners.”

The company also said it’s looking forward to welcoming the Flying Fox to the Northstreet space. When it opens in late 2026, it will offer craft cocktails, sodas and food.
